Procedures for obtaining Membership and Firm Registration

Essential documents/information required for establishing business and obtaining or renewing the NCC membership

For registering new business firm and renew (within Kathmandu District) at Department of Commerce, NCC's Recommendation is compulsory.

1. Process for obtaining Recommendation from NCC for Establishing Business Firm and Renew

  1. Complete filled application form with Name of the Firm, Address of the Firm, Capital of the Firm, Type of Firm Sole: Proprietorship/Partnership, Name and Address of Proprietor/Partner/Director (with 3 generations), Description of Business.

  2. Agreement paper according to Partnership Act 2020 (for establishing new Partnership firm)

  3. Citizenship certificate - both original and photocopy (for establishing new business firm)

  4. Two passport size photograph (for establishing new firm)

2. Procedures to be followed for obtaining Chamber's Membership

  1. Completed filled application form.

  2. Recommendation from the Chamber's incumbent member

  3. Memorandum & Articles for Limited Company.

  4. Name and Status of three persons representing firms at the Chamber

  5. Name of the Firm, address, signature and relation of signee with the firm

  6. Membership Registration Fee is Rs 550 (Rs 150.00 for entrance and Rs 400.00 for annual fee)
  7. No firm outside the Kathmandu District will be registered.

  8. But the firms registered at other districts can obtain the membership, i.e branch office in Kathmandu.

3. Renewal of Membership

  1. Within the month of Ashad every fiscal year

  2. Complete filled application form.

  3. Orginal NCC's Membership certificate.

  4. Annual renew fee Rs. 400.00
